On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the founding of Brinkmann Jewelry, the Municipality of Naples awarded a commemorative plaque to the historic brand, a true symbol of Neapolitan goldsmith and watchmaking tradition. The plaque was presented by Councillor for Tourism and Productive Activities Teresa Armato, on behalf of Mayor Gaetano Manfredi, during a ceremony held on Holy Thursday—a significant choice, as it was on Holy Thursday in 1900 that Theo Brinkmann opened his first watch shop on via Toledo, marking the beginning of a legacy that has blended craftsmanship, design, and innovation for more than a century.
Today located in Piazza Municipio, Brinkmann Jewelry remains a cornerstone of Naples’ commercial and cultural fabric. What began as the dream of a German artisan who chose Naples as his home has grown into a respected name in the world of fine jewelry and watches, offering exquisite, handcrafted collections that reflect both tradition and modern elegance.
“Celebrating 125 years of Brinkmann Jewelry means telling the story of a man and a family who had the courage to invest in Naples, believe in its future, and build something that would stand the test of time,” said Councillor Teresa Armato, who also emphasized the significance of those who continue to believe in beauty, craftsmanship, and trust. “It is thanks to stories like this that Naples continues to shine,” she added.
